Your web site will need to be "hosted" in order to be
available for viewing world wide. There are many hosting companies
and options available out there. I can help you make sense of the
choices. Although I do not provide web hosting services myself,
I am able to recommend web hosting companies that I've worked with
in the past. Because I do not have affiliations with any particular
hosting company, I can remain neutral in evaluating their performance.
Whatever decision we make about hosting your new site, your needs
and the needs of your site are the most important. The hosting of
your web site will likely involve separate charges.
Keep in mind though, you may find that you already have web hosting
available as part of your internet service provider's package, and
I can help you evaluate any hosting package to be sure it meets
your needs.
Loading your new site to the host
Once they're ready, I will load pages of your new web site to a
hidden area of mine for your review, comments, proof-reading and
approval. Depending on how quickly you and I are able to communicate
required changes, it generally takes about 2-4 weeks to get your
site up and running.
Marketing your new site
After you've approved the complete web site, I will load your pages
for you to the selected hosting provider. Once your site is "live",
marketing your website begins. One of the easiest ways to market
your new site is to make sure the web address is shown on all of
your printed materials, and to get your site listed in search engines.
During the design process, I maintain focus on elements that search
engines use to determine placement when developing your new site.
Your site is search engine ready when complete.
Created By Lisa will submit your site to the major search engines
for you if you choose. Be aware that some engines now charge for
site submission, so you may incur separate charges. I will help
you make sense out of the search engine choices and work with you
to create a program that's right for you.
